IN BRIEFMark DeGarmo & Dancers/Dynamic Forms Inc. (MDDF) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization committed to enlivening bodies, changing perspectives and transforming lives. MDDF works in yearlong, multiyear partnership programs with NYC schools, including public students and communities underserved in the arts, dance and aesthetic education.
QUICK FACTS
- In 2010-11, we worked with 1,400 students.
- In the last 4 years, MDDF taught 3,031 workshops in 177 classrooms in 7 schools.
- Maintained relationships with partnership schools for 9 consecutive years.
- Staff members have 150 cumulative years of experience in the arts and arts education.
- 150 hours of adult learning opportunities through annual teaching artist training institutes.
- DeGarmo served as consultant to the NYC Department of Education's Task Force to develop the Arts Blueprint, serving 1.1 million students in 1,500 public schools.
- For every $1.00 contributed to MDDF there is $2.11 benefit to society. (Columbia Business School, MDDF Social Return on Investment Study, 2010)

Private Funds from The Bay and Paul Foundations; and The MetLife Foundation Partners in Arts Education Program which is funded by MetLife Foundation and administered by the National Guild for Community Arts Education.
